Things like “Thou Shalt Make Content King” might seem rather obvious, but every Web Designer needs to hear (or read) things like this every once and a while
… making the web less rubbish
I’ll be starting in a few days on a redesign of the Longboard Furniture Company website in preparation for the Ealing Jazz Festival and to show off the companies services of bespoke cabinet making and furniture restoration rather than the product catalogue currently on the website.
new blog
Welcome to my new blog, finally getting it off the 24fans.com domain which I hated using for personal stuff, since it looked rather unprofessional. I’ve got all of uni.24fans.com’s old posts, so it’s simply location and style which has changed.
I’m quite pleased to say that while basic this theme is all most all my own work to match the rest of my personal portfolio site, although it is built on top of the barebones Sandbox theme.
As I said it’s quite basic, and a little cold at the moment, but I hope to build on it further.
twenty one, flowers, uni and liverpool
So I haven’t posted in a while, and now seemed like a good time to post a catch up.
Yesterday was my birthday, I’m 21 now, although I’m not sure how much that changes anything, i’m still younger than some people and older than some other people.
Also yesterday I was finally able to put online my sister’s website (peonyflowers.co.uk) which hopefully does justice to the her amazing skills, and is also hopefully a good example of the kind of website I can put together for small businesses.
I’ve got four weeks left of uni proper, right now isn’t the most fun i’ve had at uni over the last three years, but I can sort of see the finish line now, and I do have a belief that I can cross it, which is something since during some dark times i’ve severely doubted that.
Plans for the rest of the day include uni work between now and 5pm, 5 till 6 relax a bit, 6 till half 7 get some tea, half 7 start heavy breathing, followed promptly by a heart attack at around half 9. Yep it’s another Liverpool champions night, of the sort which usually send my blood pressure soaring.
If I survive i’ll post again, with hope in my heart.
pass uni, get job, overthrow government, be happy
My new msn screen name which has sparked many agreements, I sense a hugely succesful line of t-shirts.
tangents
I should be working, and I am, but every so often the internet throws you head first into a whole lot of material in which you really have to sit down and read/watch/listen to immediately, otherwise it’s impact will have been lost. I don’t expect this to mean anything to anybody, but so it’s in easy reach when I need some amusement ….

supporting liverpool …
Supporting Liverpool FC isn’t a shirt you wear or an accent you have, it’s part of the essence of who you are, wherever you may live.
Couldn’t agree more.
the spirit of shankly
The socialism I believe in is everyone working for each other, everyone having a share of the rewards. It’s the way I see football, the way I see life – Bill Shankly
Dumb and Dumber have a offer on the table that would give them £25 million profit each for 13 months of owning the club. Word is they’ve turned it down. At the game tonight mass protests will show them just how much we want them out of our club, i’d give anything to be at that game and to add my voice to the thousands of others. But I can’t, so i’m adding my voice here, online.
